Londis on Stanley Road, Swanscombe, was rated 1 at its first inspection. Two shops got a 3, and Ori Cafe at Bluewater and a school breakfast club got 5s.

A Londis convenience store in Swanscombe has been given a food hygiene rating of 1, which means “major improvement necessary”.

Londis, 2A to 3A Stanley Road, Swanscombe, DA10 0HZ, was inspected on 2 September 2026. It is a new registration, so this is its first rating. The result was not on the register when we published our September roundup on 25 September.

We read the Food Standards Agency register again on 10 October for every premises in the Dartford Borough Council area. (Food Standards Agency: Londis, Stanley Road)

What the inspector found at Londis

Area inspected Standard found
Hygienic food handling Improvement necessary
Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building Generally satisfactory
Management of food safety Major improvement necessary

Management of food safety is the part that pulled the rating down. It covers the checks a business keeps and whether the officer is confident standards will hold. It was also the weakest area for all four premises rated 1 in our September report.

The register shows no new rating pending and no right to reply from the business. A business can appeal its rating, ask for a re-inspection once it has made improvements, or publish a reply on the register. Anyone can ask the council’s environmental health team for the inspection report at eh.admin@dartford.gov.uk.

Late September results: two 3s and two 4s

Cloud Nine Dartford Unit 11A, Orchards, High Street, Dartford 4 7 September
SEM Staff Restaurant One Hundred House, Brunel Way, Dartford 4 3 September

A 3 means “generally satisfactory”. T4 Bubble Tea was marked generally satisfactory in all three areas. Shreeji Newsagents was marked “good” for food handling and generally satisfactory for the other two (Shreeji register entry, T4 register entry).
