57 companies were set up with a Dartford address from 24 August to 24 September, eight in food and drink. Plus the Gazette notices, including Made In Kent Radio.
Fifty-seven new companies were registered with a Dartford postal address between 24 August and 24 September 2026. Eight of them told Companies House they would sell food or drink.
We read the Companies House record for each one on 25 September. The list below gives each company’s name, the business it declared and its postcode district. We do not publish registered office addresses, because for small companies they are often someone’s home.
A registered company is not the same as an open shop. Some of these will trade from a unit on a high street, some from a laptop, and some not at all. The business activity is what the founders declared, not something anyone has checked.

Two places in these lists share the Dartford postal town but sit outside the borough. Eynsford is in Sevenoaks district, about six miles south of Dartford. Crayford is in the London Borough of Bexley, just west of the town.

Closures and insolvency notices
The Gazette, the official public record, carried these notices for companies with a trading base or registered office in the borough:
- Made In Kent Limited, trading as Made In Kent Radio, went into creditors’ voluntary liquidation on 17 September. The Gazette gives its principal trading address as Bluewater Shopping Centre and its business as radio broadcasting. Joint liquidators from Opus Restructuring LLP in Maidstone were appointed the same day (Gazette notice 5214961). The station’s own website was still showing a live schedule on 25 September. The notices do not say what happens to the station
- BuildKent (SE) Ltd, registered office in Dartford DA1, was wound up by order of the High Court on 9 September on a petition filed on 21 July. The Official Receiver is the liquidator (Gazette notice 5211772)
- D & M Mechanical Ltd, a plumbing, heating and air-conditioning company with a registered office in Dartford DA1, faced a petition to wind it up. It was presented on 14 August by Enterprise Rent-A-Car UK Limited as a creditor, and listed for hearing in Leeds on 22 September (Gazette notice 5209433). No outcome had been published by 25 September. A petition is a claim, not a finding

Several other Gazette notices this fortnight mention Dartford only because a Dartford insolvency practice was appointed. The companies themselves traded in Bromley, Canterbury, Stanmore or London, so we have left them out.
What it means for you
Opening something yourself? Dartford Borough Council handles food business registration, licensing and business rates. Food businesses must register with the council at least 28 days before trading (GOV.UK: register a food business).
Owed money by a company in liquidation? The Gazette notice names the liquidator and gives a contact. Creditors should get in touch with them directly.
